Our Thala, Our Hero🐯
The lion's getting an year younger today. No pun intended, the man just doesn't seem to be ageing. This blog is being published not to tell the life story of this legend of the game, but just the thoughts, feelings and gratitude towards our beloved Captain👑

Still the swiftest hands behind the stumps and one of the best runners between the wickets, it's fitting to say that the Captain is getting golden with age. The man may not be playing international cricket now, but the impact he had, has imprinted his identity as one the modern-day pioneers of the game. Well, he had immense success in the game, reaching career-defining heights especially during his reign as a captain of the national side. But like every tale of triumph, this stalwart Ranchi boy had to dig his way up, to the level which was unprecedented even to his own wildest imagination..

To put simply, the man had a horrible international debut. He was run out for a duck. A string of low scores followed. But the lion didn't bow down. And once he roared, the face of Indian cricket could never be the same. He transformed into a finisher our country hadn't experienced before. He became the master of crunch moments. His unorthodox batting and unique six-hitting ability won the country many a crucial matches. But the golden moment during his tenure was the time he was assigned the duty of captaining the national side.

Leading a young squad to triumph in the maiden T-20 World Cup was something which many hadn't expected at the start of tournament. We got the Test mace for the first time in 2009 under his leadership. What eventually followed was something the cricket lovers had desired for long. His match-winning six at the World Cup final was a moment which is still intact in the minds of Indians. The country won the World Cup for the 1st time in 28 long years. It was indeed his intelligent and fearless captaincy which won us a thrilling Champions Trophy final in 2013. He became the 1st captain to win all major ICC tournaments. With 3 IPL and 1 Champions league trophy, one can go on and on about his achievements.

Known as Captain Cool, MS has a great many admirers. Never losing his cool, he has maintained cordial relations with players, both in India and abroad. His calm and composed attitude is one of the major factors responsible for present mental strength we witness in our players. We are fortunate enough to still see him leading CSK in the IPL. The second-half of the tournament is just round the corner and fans will be much eager to again witness the prowess of this magical being.

Well, this was all from my side. Words aren't enough to express the magnitude of impact this legend had on the game and fans around the world. I was blessed enough to meet this dynamic personality a few years back and the man is as simple and polite & likes to share about his love for the game. The Indian cricket owes immense gratitude towards MS Dhoni and he continues to inspire the future generation to follow their passion and keep believing even in the most dire situations.
Wishing great success and happiness for this pioneer of Indian Cricket!!

Will be back soon with some new match content.
Till then:
Stay awesome and keep hitting!!
